Trex and Scorpion finally decided to come out of hiding after about two days. This time they took a back way that went threw the forest slightly and came out at the back of Reptile's citadel. There was a large stone with one raptor standing in front of it with a large battle-axe in his hands. The battle-axe had a large blade on the front of it with some writing that could not be read from the distance that they were at.
"I'll take care of him." Trex uttered to Scorpion as he backed up slightly. Then with a gust of wind Trex dashed toward the guard that had no idea of the impending dander. Trex whipped out his dagger, slashed the raptor, and then ran back to Scorpion. This only took a couple of second to happen. But despite Trex's action the guard still stood.
"Well you messed that one up speedy." Scorpion sarcastically stated. But when he looked back he would regret ever saying that. Everything below the head was draced in blood that was all flowing from the neck. The axe fell out of the raptor hand and onto the rocky ground. They both started to walk toward the raptor. Scorpion looked at the head of the head, which rested atop of the lifeless body. He poked it with his index finger. The head fell back onto the ground. Then, without warning Trex kicked the raptors headless body toward the forest. Trex started to feel around the large stone that the raptor looked like he was protecting. Then finally Trex put his claws into some groves in the side of the stone and chanted some words that Scorpion can't even pronounce. With that the wall that was right next to where Scorpion was standing opened. The sound of stone rubbing against stone was almost enough to shatter glass. Trex pushed Scorpion out of the way and walked threw the door. Scorpion tried to hold back the anger, which felt so good to him. Yet it would have to come out sooner or later.
"This way dead man." Trex shouted back to Scorpion.
"I wouldn't talk about being a dead man." Scorpion replied back at the body that he could barley see. Then, like a magic trick Trex disappeared out of sight. Scorpion narrowed his eyes and completely stopped. He swung out his sword in front of himself and prepared for anything. He slowly started to walk forward. He was alert to any sound or movement in the whole hallway. As he started to approach the area where Trex disappeared. He noticed a bead of spikes that lay atop the ceiling. When Scorpion got near where the spikes were he noticed that there was a large pit under it. For a person to continue they would have to cross the pit. A jump wouldn't work because the spikes would chop your head up. If you were to try to walk backward off the side of the pit, grab the ledge, try to jump backward, and attempt to land on the other side would just result in you falling all the way down the pit to certain doom. Scorpion poked his head over the side of the ledge to try to see the bottom of the pit. It looked like an abandoned well that hadn't been used in decades. As Scorpion tried to get a better look a claw came out of the darkness, grabbed him uniform, and pulled him into the pit. Scorpion franticly tried to grab onto any loose stone or rock that protruded out of the wall. His actions were unanswered with only moss and a few weeds. Scorpion prepared for the worst. As he felt the end was coming near he came to a complete stop. He felt something holding onto his back. He rolled to his side. He fell right between two large crystal spikes. He squeezed the sword that was still in his hand. He used it to support his getting up. He looked up only to see Trex on his back laughing his ass off at what Scorpion just did. Scorpion walked over to where Trex was laughing, grabbed his neck, lifted him up, and dangled him over a single spike.
"If you ever laugh at me again in the rest of your afterlife then I'll send you back to hell the only way I know how to." Scorpion snarled out of pure anger. Trex nodded to the person who held him over the spike. Scorpion let Trex down. Trex turned and started to walk toward a keyhole the Scorpion just noticed. Trex stuck out his one claw and stuck it threw the top hole of the keyhole.
" Stand against the wall." Trex shouted. A snapping noise rung threw the well. A rumbling noise started to shake the walls. Trex dug his claws into the wall while Scorpion just stood there. The bed of spikes that Scorpion saw on top the roof of the well came crashing down. It flew right in front of both Scorpion and Trex. The sound of the two spikes, the one that was crashing down and the ones on the ground made Scorpion cringe. The spikes that were falling came down with such a force it pushed the floor into the ground. But this showed that there was a door hid under the floor. When the dust cleared Trex jumped onto the flat top of the falling spikes were attached to. Trex walked threw the door and then signaled for Scorpion to follow.
As they started to reach the top of the stairs they saw a light. They put their backs against the wall as to not let the raptors that were at the top of the stairs could not see them. Trex pulled out his dagger for safety. Then without consulting each other they ran into the room. Scorpion jumped to the right and got in his fighting stance. Trex jumped to the left and got in is fighting stance. But to there surprise know one was there. The whole room was empty. The tables looked as if someone was just there but no one was in any of the chairs. The bowls hadn't been put away or anything. It looked like they were in a hurry to leave.
"Well that worked surprisingly badly," Scorpion sarcastically said while getting out of his stance.
"Where the hell are they? They're usssually here," Trex stated while looking around. He got up and started to head to the kitchen. He pushed the wooden door open and stepped inside.
"Do you want anything?" Trex asked Scorpion while he searched the ice room for some meat.
"I don't eat. It's bad for my skin." Scorpion replied pled while smirking under his mask.
"You don't know what your missssssing," Trex said while sticking his head out of the freeze box with his mouth full of meat. Scorpion started to walk over to the door that was on the side of the room. As he approached the door he heard Trex close the freeze box. Trex started to follow Scorpion while holding a leg on a plate in one hand and a head in the other hand. Scorpion reached for the door and just before he was about to open it Trex dropped the food that was in his hand and grabbed his wrist.
"That'sssss the sssssecond time you almossst got ussss killed," Trex shouted in angered voice. He looked up toward the ceiling and on the ceiling was a bucket of acid waiting to fall on an unsuspecting person.
"They know were here," Trex stated while looking around the room. Then suddenly he noticed a raptor hiding in the rafters. As soon as the raptor noticed this he did a back flip to the ground and landed perfectly on his feet. He then made a loud screeched noise then almost mad the windows crack. With those two raptors on each side of the first raptor appeared. They all took fighting stance. One of them pulled out a two-sided axe and flipped it around in his hands. Another one took out a spear and circled it around his head.
"Letsssss do it," Trex uttered while getting in fighting stance. Scorpion pulled out his weapon flipped it around between his fingers then said while clinching his teeth;" Feel extinction raptor." With that Trex stabbed his sword into the raptors head and coming out the other side. Trex pulled out his two daggers and stabbed it into both sides of the two raptors that stood in front of him. The one with the axe ran at Scorpion and almost blindly swung at Scorpions head. He easily ducked it and then stuck his hand under the raptor chin and shot his spear right threw the head until it hit the ceiling. Scorpion tied a knot at the end let the raptor be pulled up into the ceiling. Trex was busy dealing with the spear crazy raptor. He was trying to jab the spear right threw Trex but it never happened. Trex in almost perfect timing did supercrawl so it tripped the raptor high into the air giving Trex enough time to grab his legs together and reach and grab his neck. Trex lifted the stunned raptor above his head. He then began to pull the raptor into two separate pieces. Then finally the body gave up the struggle and let the over powering raptor pull until the raptor split into two separate pieces. Trex let go of the pieces that lay in his hands and dropped them to the ground.
"I told you they were expecting usssssss," Trex proudly stated while he still was whipping blood from his hands. Scorpion was about to reach for the handle of the door when a raptor opened the door and snarled at them. But also as soon as he opened the door the bucket full an acid burned the raptor down to nothing but a few bones and ash's. Scorpion then kicked the ashes into the sir. The ashes were carried by a draft out the window. Trex went back to the raptors that had Trex's daggers stuck in them. He put his foot under the chin of the one raptor, gained a firm grip around the handle of the dagger and began to pull. The dagger was caught between the ribs and was slightly bent so it wasn't easy to pull out. He then put his other foot on the lower part of his stomach and began to pull once again. The dagger was like a loose tooth that just didn't want to budge. By this time Trex was very angry and frustrated. Then in a pure fit of rage he stuck his hand into the raptor's chest. The force broke the ribs that were on either side of the dagger. He dug around slightly trying to find the tip of the dagger. Then finally he found the sharp edge of the blade. He put his claw over the tip of the blade and began to push. The dagger finally began to leave the chest of the raptor. After a little while of pushing the dagger came out yet laced with blood.
"Little ssstinker. I thought sssshe would never get out of there," Trex's wit was very lacking of a normal person but for a raptor was high. Scorpion and Trex started to run down a narrow hallway, which lead to he north side of the citadel. As they ran Scorpion started to notice things about the hallway that were different then the rest of the whole building. It was all made out of marble. Not the fancy marble found in emperor's chambers but a slightly jagged marble. It look's like it was place not to long ago.
"What's with the marble on the wall?" Scorpion questioned Trex as they started to reach the end of the hall.
"It wassss placed in by some raptorssss only some time ago. He did it assss to remember his battle'sss and winssss in Mortal Kombat. Assss you can tell there are many ssstonesss." Trex replied as he started a jump, which launched him into the air and on to the first step of a curling row of stairs going up.
"What! More stairs?" Scorpion shouted as he started to catch up to the raptor that had gotten so far in front of him.
"Reptile ssssaid for there to be many rowssss of stairsss sssso that intrudersssss would have a hard time finding what they needed. Nobody outsssside of this clan hasssss ever totally succeeded in an asssssigned misssion." Trex said while starting up the stairs. Scorpion took a deep breath and started up the stairs.
It was about five minutes before they reached the top of the stairs. Trex walked out the opening, which went back down the stairs. Scorpion followed the raptor, which lead him. When Scorpion finally was able to stand next to Trex he saw an amazing site. On each side of the long hall were rows of unlimited doors and windows. Scorpions chin seemed to drop slightly down as he looked at the long hall. They both started to walk forward. The doors the lined the hall were wooden. Some with locks and others with no type of protection. But Scorpion could tell that some of them were locked from the inside. They walked for five minutes before they stopped in front of a door. It looked like all the other doors that came before it. Scorpion pushed Trex out of the way, pulled out his sword, and cut off the lock that was in the inside. After doing that Scorpion kicked the door straight off it's hinges. The door slammed against the wall. Scorpion walked threw the door and pointed his sword toward a body lying on the bed.
