MK4 Media Campaign
According to a report at Midway's
Press Release, Midway Home Entertainment prepares for the launch of MK4 with the
announcement of a price reduction for the N64 version plus a multi-million dollar national
TV advertising campaign. This reduction will result in a new suggested retail price of
$49.95 as opposed to the previous MSRP of $59.95. The ad campaign began last Night with
the sneak previews of the "music video" style ad during the airing of the Mortal
Kombat movie on TBS. The largest portion of the multi-million dollar MK4 TV campaign will
coincide with the launch of the game, and can be seen on cable networks including Comedy
Central, USA, TNT, TBS, and MTV.
